Wash Pouch / Peak Design
The Wash Pouch is Peak Design's take on the dopp kit, designed around the two moments a toiletry bag fails: hanging it in a cramped bathroom and containing what leaks. It stands open on its own with a wide mouth so you can see everything, folds out an integrated hook to hang from a rail or door, and lines its base against spills so a burst bottle stays contained. Inside are zip and mesh pockets and a removable inner pouch you can lift out for airport liquids. The shell is recycled weatherproof nylon with the Travel line's UltraZip zippers. It suits the traveller who wants a toiletry case that hangs, stands and seals rather than slumping shut in a bag, and accepts a premium over a simple zip bag that would hold the same contents.
Design intent
- +The design targets the toiletry bag's real failures: an integrated fold-out hook and a self-standing wide mouth solve using it in a small bathroom with no counter, so the pouch works hung open rather than slumped shut on a wet surface.
- +Spill containment is treated as a structural problem, not an afterthought: a sealed, wiped-clean lined base and a removable inner pouch keep leaks contained and lift liquids out for security, so a failure inside the bag does not become a failure across the whole pack.
