Design intent

The defining decision is multi-device laptop-grade output: 145 watts across three ports lets it charge a laptop and a phone together at speed, so it replaces several chargers and a wall socket rather than just topping up a handset, which is what the capacity is for.

Trade-offs

It is a sealed lithium battery whose cells degrade over years and cannot be replaced, and its top speeds require compatible cables and devices, so the rated 145 watts is a ceiling rather than a guarantee.
