The Camera Cube V2 is Peak Design's padded insert that turns any bag into a camera bag. It is a rigid, weatherproof-zippered box whose interior is divided by low-profile FlexFold dividers, origami panels that fold and reconfigure to wrap a mirrorless body, several lenses or a drone, holding each still and apart so nothing knocks together in transit. The V2 revision widens the main opening for full visibility, adds a fold-away lid for faster access, and brings 360-degree grab handles. It is shaped to lock into a Peak Design Travel Bag or nest inside a third-party pack. It suits the photographer who wants configurable protection for a kit that changes shoot to shoot, and accepts the weight and cost that structured padding adds over a soft wrap.

Design intent

The FlexFold dividers are the defining decision: fold-flat padded panels that reconfigure to hold genuinely different kits, a small mirrorless body one day and a full video or drone setup the next, so one protective box adapts rather than committing to a fixed camera-bag layout.
It is built as part of a system, not a standalone bag: sized and anchored to lock into Peak Design's Travel Bags while also nesting in third-party packs, so any bag becomes a camera bag and the cube can be lifted out and carried alone.

Trade-offs

The rigid, padded, weatherproof construction adds real weight and bulk over a simple wrap or pouch, so the protection it buys costs pack space and grams that a minimal shooter may not want.
Its organisation pays off mainly for those who commit to the Peak Design system, and reviewers note the padded walls make usable interior volume smaller than the outer dimensions suggest, so it holds less than it looks like it should.
