The Fellow Stagg EKG is an electric gooseneck kettle built for one task: pouring water at a precise temperature for coffee. The narrow gooseneck spout meters a slow, controlled stream, a counterbalanced handle keeps the pour steady, and to-the-degree temperature control with a 60-minute hold mode replaces the guesswork of a standard kettle. The body is 304 stainless steel on a minimal base, with an optional walnut or maple handle, and the whole object is designed for the countertop rather than the cupboard. It suits the home pour-over drinker who treats the morning brew as a ritual and wants repeatable results, and who accepts that the precision spout and modest 0.9-litre capacity make it deliberately worse than an ordinary kettle for simply boiling water in a hurry.
Design intent
- Every element serves controlled pouring: the narrow gooseneck spout and counterbalanced handle exist to deliver a slow, accurate stream, which is what a pour-over needs and an ordinary kettle cannot give.

Trade-offs

- It is an electronic appliance at a premium price, with more to maintain and eventually fail than a simple stovetop kettle, and the wooden-handled versions need care to avoid heat and water damage over time.
