The Pocket Flask is a 250ml collapsible soft flask in BPA- and PVC-free recycled material, made as a companion to Labo Mono's sling rather than as a standalone bottle. It is sized to drop into the sling's pocket or a back trouser pocket without adding rigid bulk, and as you drink it shrinks rather than holding its shape. A bite valve seals it when not in use, so there is no cap to unscrew or lose, and drinking is a one-handed bite and squeeze. Empty, it compresses almost flat. The 250ml is a deliberate limit: enough water for a short urban run or a half-day of light activity, not an attempt to replace a full bottle. It carries what you are likely to need and disappears when you do not.
Design intent
- The 250ml capacity and collapsible body are a specific carry decision: enough water for likely use, with near-zero space cost when empty, which no rigid bottle can match.
- The bite valve removes the cap entirely, so drinking is a one-handed action in motion rather than an unscrew-and-replace.
Trade-offs
- 250ml runs short for extended outdoor use or hot weather; it suits urban carry and short activity, and heavy drinkers will refill it often.
- Soft-flask material can hold a faint flavour when new, so it benefits from a thorough wash before it feels neutral to drink from.
