Neowise Side Table / Kismas
The Neowise Side Table applies the same Kismas system at a smaller, more sculptural scale: flat aluminium panels slotted together and fastened with rubber O-rings, assembled by hand in minutes. It can stand vertically or lie horizontally, working beside a bed, a sofa or a desk, or as a plinth for an object. Its distinguishing feature is a semi-transparent textured panel covering the cavity, so whatever is stored inside reads only as blurred silhouettes and colour, an effect that is the point rather than a side benefit. Coloured silicone O-rings, some of which glow in the dark, let the same piece read as calm and minimal or deliberately playful. It is made from milled aluminium sheet, finished for smooth edges, and changes character entirely depending on how it is oriented and dressed.
